Barton Flats Area Campgrounds

The attractive campgrounds scattered around Barton Flats are often overlooked by those with their sights set on camping at nearby Big Bear Lake. Barton Flats area campgrounds are less than an hour's drive from the lake and yet offer a quieter setting for relaxing in the forest. Nearby Jenks Lake provides good fishing as well as non-motorized boating. The San Gorgonio Wilderness to the south makes a good destination for hiking and horseback riding.

Group campsites are found at Council Group Campground, Oso and Lobo Campgrounds, and at Heart Bar Campground's Skyline Group Campground. Equestrian Camping is available at Wild Horse Equestrian Campground and neighboring Heart Bar Equestrian Group Campground.
