Kit Carson Campground

Kit Carson Campground is located along the West Carson River only a mile from Hope Valley. Visitors to the campground appreciate its intimate setting among the trees and close proximity to great fishing in the Carson River. Many popular attractions are within easy driving distance, including South Lake Tahoe, Carson Pass, and Blue Lakes.

Kit Carson Campground has 12 sites. Three of the sites are designated for tents only, while the rest can accommodate RVs, trailers and tents. Campsites are among a forest of aspens and Jeffrey pines. Several campsites are next to the river.

When making reservations be sure that your vehicle will fit in the space indicated on the reservations website.
For campground purposes, a vehicle is any equipment that is required to be licensed/registered. This includes RVs, trailers, cars/trucks, boat/car trailer, motorcycle/atv, etc. Vehicles parked in a truck or on a trailer are not counted separately.
