Residence Campground and Red Mountain Campground are located in Foster Park, one of a number of recreation areas operated by Ventura County Parks. The Ventura River runs through the park, passing green fields and mature trees. The popular Ojai Valley Trail winds through the park, to the delight of hikers, horseback riders, and cyclists. The park includes a playground and horseshoe pits. Residence and Red Mountain campgrounds are only 6 miles from Casitas Lake Recreation Area.
Residence Campground has 16 campsites spread along a single road in the park. Campsites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. Ten of the campsites have full hook-ups (20, 30, and 50 amp). Red Mountain Campground has 18 campsitess. Road noise can be heard in the campgrounds. Casitas Vista Road passes close to some of the sites and the Ventura Freeway is nearby.

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. If using a reservation website, check to be sure your vehicles will fit in the parking space for your campsite.
In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, obtain firewood locally.
