Dockweiler State Beach Campground is located on Santa Monica Bay near Los Angeles International Airport. Most visitors to Dockweiler Beach are used to the sound of airplanes passing overhead. Beach-goers enjoy evening campfires, sun bathing, surfing, cycling, volleyball, and even hang gliding. This state beach is operated by Los Angeles County Department of Beaches & Harbors.

Dockweiler State Beach Campground for RV and trailer campground boasts 117 sites, all lined up parking-lot style in 3 rows. Prices are arranged accordingly, with the beachfront sites the most expensive and the back row the most affordable. Some sites are designated for RVs only, some only for trailers. All the regular campsites have full hook-ups, but a number of dry sites have been added. There is no tent camping.

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. If using a reservation website, check to be sure your vehicles will fit in the parking space for your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, obtain firewood locally.

Key Dockweiler State Beach Campground Regulations

  1. Fires must be in designated concrete fire rings only.
  2. Dogs must be kept on leash and attended at all times. Dogs are not permitted on the beach. At night dogs must be confined to tent or vehicle.
  3. Quiet Hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM. Generators may only be operated between 10 AM to 8 PM.
