Doran Regional Park Campgrounds

Doran Regional Park is situated along a narrow point of land at the mouth of Bodega Bay Harbor. The park features a 2-mile long sandy beach popular for picnicking, strolling, surf fishing, kite flying, and sand castle building. A boat launch facing the harbor is also found in the park. The ocean along the Sonoma coast is considered too dangerous for wading or swimming, although some people wade at their own risk at south-facing Doran Beach where the waves are usually mild. The water is cold.

Doran Regional Park Campgrounds are arranged in a number of areas known as Jerry, Miwok, Cove, Gull and Shell. In all, there are 132 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents, along with a tent campground, a Hike & Bike campsite, and a Group Camp. Of the campsites at Doran Regional Park Campgrounds, 112 may be reserved; the others are first-come, first-served. The area can be cold and windy. And be aware that the fog horn sounds regularly.
