Fowlers Camp Campground

Fowlers Camp Campground is along the McCloud River, 7 miles east of the town of McCloud and 16 miles east of Interstate 5. The campground is best known for its proximity to a number of beautiful waterfalls, including Lower, Middle, and Upper Falls. Trails lead from the campground to the various falls. Also, roads connect to overlooks of the falls. Swimming is popular in summer when the river levels are safe. Fishing is good all along the river.

Fowlers Camp Campground has 39 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. One campsite is a double. Reservations are now available for Fowlers Camp Campground. All except for 8 sites may now be reserved ahead of time. The campsites are well spaced and have plenty of shade from a conifer forest. All the sites and most facilities are wheelchair accessible. The campground has a 14 day limit.

Fowlers Camp Campground Reservations
Reservations Available Reservations are available for camping dates from mid-May through mid-October for most campsites. From mid-October to mid-November all campsites are first-come, first-served. Eight sites remain first-come, first-served whenever the campground is open.
Booking Window: Reservations can be made from 4 days up to 6 months prior to arrival date.

General Camping Information

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on snow conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, obtain firewood locally.

Accessible Sites

Designated Accessible sites are usually reserved for people with disabilities who have a vehicle displaying an accessible parking placard or license plate

Key Fowlers Camp Campground Regulations
