Burnt Ranch Campground
Burnt Ranch Campground is along Highway 299, 85 miles west of Redding. The campground sits on a low bluff overlooking the scenic Trinity River. A trail leads down tot the river. River access is also available 2½ miles west at Grays Fall Day Use Area. There, a trail leads to the river for fishing and whitewater rafting. A nice picnic spot along the river is found 4¼ miles east at Cedar Flat Picnic Area.
Burnt Ranch Campground has 16 campsites which can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. Some of the campsites are along the river and others are just across the highway. All of the sites are first-come, first-served. Drinking water is not available.
General Camping Information
Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. If using a reservation website, check to be sure your vehicles will fit in the parking space for your campsite.
In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, obtain firewood locally.
