Indian Springs Campground

Indian Springs Campground

Indian Springs Campground sits along South Yuba River less than a mile off Interstate 80. So close to the Interstate, campers can hear some freeway noise and occasional trains. Campers at Indian Springs enjoy fishing and, later in the season when water levels are safe, swimming. Located along Eagle Lakes Road, the campground draws a few 4-wheelers who enjoy nearby OHV routes to Eagle Lakes and Fordyce Creek. An OHV staging area is located adjacent to the campground. A number of good hiking trails and mountain biking routes are in the area.

Indian Springs Campground has 35 campsites for tents and small trailers and RVs. Eight sites are walk-in sites designated for tents only. The campground rests on the north bank of the South Yuba River in a scenic forest of mature cedars and pines. Campsites in the upper loop are shielded more from freeway noise by trees than those in the lower loop.
