Hidden View Campground

Hidden View Campground is within the Hensley Lake Recreation area in the foothills, 50 miles north of Fresno. Hensley Lake spreads over 1,500 acres and has 20 miles of shoreline. Visitors to the lake enjoy boating, waterskiing, fishing, swimming, and hiking. Enjoy a dedicated swim beach in the Buck Ridge area. The lake also has a disc golf course and opportunities for mountain biking and horseback riding. Hensley Lake is operated by the Army Corps of Engineers.

Hidden View Campground features 55 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Twenty-one sites have electric hook-ups (30 amps). One site is designated for tents only. Oaks provide partial shade to the campground. Some campsites have shade ramadas. All the sites are within walking distance of the lake and the boat launch ramp.

Hidden View Campground has 2 group sites which can accommodate up to 50 people and 30 vehicles. The campsites have multiple tables, some under gazebo picnic shelters. Group cooking facilities are provided. Reservations can be made from 3 days up to 12 months prior to your arrival date.

General Camping Information

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, purchase firewood locally.

Designated Accessible sites are usually reserved for people with disabilities who have a vehicle displaying an accessible parking placard or license plate.

Visitors to Hensley Lake enjoy all kinds of boating as well as hiking, cycling, and picnicking. Campers at Hidden View Campground are close to the lake and launch ramps.

  • Enjoy a day on the lake boating, waterskiing, and fishing.
  • Set out on your mountain bike to explore local trails.
  • Fish for large-mouth bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and rainbow trout.
  • Drive up to Eastman Lake and discover all the great boating and fishing opportunities there.
  • Head north on Highway 41 into Yosemite National Park or turn off and explore beautiful Bass Lake.
  • Visit the Forestiere Underground Gardens in Fresno.
  • Try your luck at the Table Mountain Casino near Friant and Millerton Lake.
  • Head down to Madera for some thrills at SkyWalk Extreme Air Sports - all kinds of fun on trampolines.

Key Hidden View Campground Regulations

  1. Campground gates are closed from 10 PM to 6 AM.
  2. Quiet Hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM.
  3. Dogs must be leashed and attended. Dogs must be confined to a vehicle or tent at night.
  4. Campfires are allowed in appropriate fire-rings and other containment depending on wind and weather conditions and may change anytime.
