Lakeview Campground

Lakeview Campground at Coyote Lake

Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch County Park spreads over nearly 7,000 acres in the hills east of Gilroy. Visitors to the park enjoy 450-acre Coyote Lake for boating, waterskiing, and fishing. The lake is known for its black bass as well as bluegill, crappie, and Eurasian carp. Wildlife abounds in the area with sightings of deer, turkeys, and a wide variety of birds common. Mountain bikers, hikers, and horseback riders enjoy miles of trails. No swimming is permitted in the lake.

Lakeview Campground has 73 sites for RVs, trailers, and tents along the southwestern side of the lake. Of those sites, 18 have water and electric hook-ups. Campsites are among widely scattered oaks in open grassy areas beside the lake. Campsites lack privacy.

Note: There are entry and launch reservation fees for watercraft along with inspection fees. See Santa Clara County Park Fees. The lake is closed to all boating from mid-October to mid-April.

Lakeview Campground also has a Group Campsite.
